In my opinion wedding photo shooting as well as the final outcome of every photo shooting, are relics not only of our lives but that of our descendants. When you are taking pictures of a couple’s wedding, the emotions of both the relatives and friends overflow, emotions of love, joy and excitement all mixed up to create a unique day that sadly cannot be repeated.
We want to share all these moments and to keep on sharing them for the rest of our lives with our children and grandchildren showing them that day full of memories and emotion!
A tear, a hug, a kiss are precious moments that we do not want to miss with people that are meaningful to us and our lives. As a result wedding photo shooting is a form of art just as all the other types of photography, however with a unique result filled with joyful and excited people and with special unrepeated moments!
Wedding photographers
There is a distinction in wedding photographers, there are those who are called shoot and burn and the story tellers. Each one realizes differently how to present the final outcome.
A story teller photographer will force you to make the photo shooting in the preparations, apart from the photo shooting in the church or the reception, because he wants to captivate all the tender moments that the couple may have with the parents or friends who help them to get ready. Moreover in this photographer you will get at least one digital album with the photos and the story of your wedding.
A shoot and burn photographer will captivate your moments according to your directions (without any professional recommendations) and will give you a DVD or a USB stick with the files, with no digital album. In a number of occasions there are more worthy shoot and burn photographers than story tellers and the result is irrespective of the qualification of the photographer.
Wedding photography, sentimental value and impressions
How can a photograph attain sentimental and timeless value? With the printing procedure of course! The biggest works of art were not admired from a computer screen or through a hard disc drive.
Judging from my personal experience I have never turned on my computer to see my personal moments. I opened boxes full of printed photos and albums instead to have recollection of my memories. Having such important moments in a hard disc is not only risky but impersonal as well. On the other hand someone’s wedding and feelings are not impersonal. A good in quality wedding album will most like live longer than us and will accompany our descendants for many years to come. Bear in mind that what a photo can reproduce forever is only one chance in a man’s life! Are you going to leave that in pure luck?
